The Master Do To List

Todohabits.com To Do List
The to-do list is the heart of our application. It works seamlessly on both computers and mobile devices, showing what needs to be done today while allowing you to view and edit tasks for any day.

The project manager and event planner update the list with tasks that need to be accomplished before an event or a project is completed.

Projects and events both involve milestones, but they serve different purposes.

  • A project is something you actively work on over time.

  • An event is something you prepare for — it has a specific date or deadline.

With projects you will create a title of the project, and then what needs to be done to complete the project.

For example, if you’re landscaping the side yard, your project might include:

  • Buying mulch and rocks

  • Removing the old garden

  • Hauling debris to the dump
Each task becomes an item in the project until it’s completed.

An event is different.  Let's say you are planning a convention or open house.  This is a specific event.  Now you may need some milestones to complete your event, like printing fliers, or renting a convention like printing fliers, renting a convention center, or arranging catering..  You many have many milestones to complete before the event day, and you can plan hard milestones - milestones that need to be completed on a certain day.

Unlike events, projects do not have hard milestones. You can plan your projects for the weekends, or Tuesdays, or whatever you want until you finally complete the project.

Both projects and events involve planning, but the key difference is that events have fixed dates and hard milestones, while projects are flexible and can progress at your own pace.

The built-in calendar lets you schedule one-time or recurring tasks. For instance, you can set a reminder to take your spouse to the airport or schedule weekly chores like doing laundry every Tuesday. These calendar tasks automatically appear on your daily to-do list alongside your project and event items.
